GUILDS
Multiplayer, social competition, and guild mechanics

What Are Guilds?
Guilds are Fitscape's multiplayer social layer. A guild is a group of players who train together, share progress, and compete collectively. Guilds add accountability and friendly competition to your fitness journey — the people around you become a source of motivation as their real workout activity appears as in-game progress.
Whether you join an existing guild or create one for your friends, team, or workout group, the guild system is designed to make fitness more social and more fun.
Adding Friends
Before joining a guild, you can add individual friends to your Fitscape network. Adding a friend lets you see their character, level, and recent activity. Use the Friend Request page to generate a shareable link to your profile.
| Friend Feature | Description |
|---|---|
| Friend Profiles | View friends' character level, stats, and recent activity |
| Duel Invitations | Challenge friends to head-to-head fitness competitions |
| Friend Request Links | Share a link to invite anyone to connect on Fitscape |
Duels: Head-to-Head Fitness Competitions
Duels are friendly fitness competitions between two players. A duel tests commitment and physical activity over a set duration — the more active player wins. Duels are a great way to stay motivated, challenge your friends, and earn bragging rights (and loot).
How Duels Work
| Phase | Details |
|---|---|
| 1. Send Invite | Choose a friend, set the duration and the stake (gold/items you wager) |
| 2. Accept or Decline | The recipient accepts (duel begins) or declines (can propose counter-terms) |
| 3. Active Duel | Both players accumulate a "duel score" from real-world activity during the duel period |
| 4. Resolution | Winner determined by duel score + character level advantage |
| 5. Rewards | Winner receives the loser's wagered stake (gold and/or items) |
Duel Score and Fairness
The duel score is calculated primarily from physical activity during the duel period. However, character level and stats also play a role — a significantly higher-level player has a distinct advantage. This is by design: consistent exercise over time is rewarded.
Duel History
All completed duels appear in your duel history with outcomes, scores, and results. Review past duels to track your performance over time.

Challenge friends who share your fitness level
Duels are most competitive when player levels are close. Challenging a much higher-level player is an uphill battle regardless of how much you work out.
Use duels for accountability
A weekly duel with a friend creates a recurring commitment. Both players are motivated to stay active to avoid losing their wagered gold.
Build your Charisma for social bonuses
Group fitness activities build your Charisma stat, which provides NPC interaction bonuses in Laboris. Social exercise has double benefits.
